Clinic Setting
When you arrive the patient arrives, his/her your face will be cleansed and numbed for about 30 mins before the procedure. Before starting the procedure, numbing cream will be removed from the your face and eye protection will be used. We will start begin by placing the probe over the lower jawline near the angle of the jaw/mandible. First, I would roll the probe along the horizontally and slowly moving upwards on one side of the face. I would also overlap each pass to ensure that all areas are covered. I would then repeat this step on the other side of the face. After that, I would run the probe on the chin and forehead with the same technique. The last area is the nose as moving the probe over the nose can be a little complicated, so it needs to be done slowly and carefully to make sure that the nose
area is covered fully by the probe. The whole process is then repeated with vertical passes over the same areas. Generally, we would go through this another round to ensure that optimum coverage.
Cooling gel/pack is applied after the procedure. Facial mask with cooling effect can also be applied at home post laser
procedure to reduce the heat and inflammation.
